ElegantBlue: a nice 3-column SEO friendly Wordpress Theme, for free!

Ok, I’m breaking my promise (but only for this post, I swear): I’ll talk about this wonderful 3-column and SEO friendly Wordpress Theme I’ve just applied to Web-o-rama. ElegantBlue, by Nathan Rice…

Why am I so impressed?
- In the HTML code, the article (the main content) is placed above the sidebars;
- The Title Tag is in the correct form, “Post title < Blog name”, instead of the ugly default form “Blog name > Blog Archive > Post title” (which will be truncated by Search Engines, ‘cos it’s too long): you’ll get higher rankings in Search Engines, and more traffic.
- In the posts’ pages, the post’s title is placed inside H1 Tags, as W3C suggests (and maybe Search Engine too)
- The header is narrow, and it won’t steal the reader’s attenction from the main content.
- … it’s free!
Of course, there are some shortcomings, too: you still need to modify it in order to show category descriptions in category’s pages. But it’s still a good Wordpress theme. ![]()
